So, Prague. The flight to Prague was on the 22nd of April at 1800. I, like I always do, turned up at Heathrow not two hours before the start of check in, but 4 hours. Why? Well, I like airports. I like seeing loads of people milling about. My flight was leaving from Terminal 2, and I spent the two hours sitting on a chair, watching airport life. Eventually, I made my way to the check-in desk and presented my passport the the assistant behind the counter. All she did was give me a boarding pass, as I had already checked in on-line the previous day. Then, with just one bag of hand luggage, (the choice of bag was awful, it was uncomfortable and most of the time I couldn’t find anything at all in it), I made my way to the passport control point, where they just briefly looked at it. Next was the security check. Well, that was something. They made you remove your shoes and your belt. Then, with your belt off they tell you to spread your arms, and whilst you do that you feel how you jeans begin to slide down without the belt. Bloody exciting stuff. Do it a few times and you’d probably become an exhibitionist. Once this was over, I spent 20 minutes sorting out my bag and coat. Eventually I left the security check and strolled over into the duty free area. Continue reading →

Awhile ago I was rifling through my phone. In one of the folders I found a text file dating all the way back from May 2007. From the first few words I knew what the text contained. It was created whilst the trip to Prague in April was still fresh in my mind. It isn’t as detailed as I would have liked it to be, but it does cover most days in some detail. I have decided to publish it in installments on my blog, because it is too long to publish in one go. So the next post is the first part of that text.

There is a story I have been following on the Russian internet. Its a very interesting story and I have decided to share it with those who do not speak Russian, perhaps it will be of some entertainment value for you. But I must warn you that this story comes with photos that contain nudity.
A young man came across some photos of a girl. The photos were taken by the girl herself and in them she is completly nude. I don’t know why she took them or how they managed to get on the internet, but lets face it, anything that is published digitally (photos, music, videos, etc) eventually ends up on the internet. The young man, Aleksandr, after seeing the photos fell in love with the girl and decided to search for her. He set up a website (http://lovefull.ru/) and for a year he searched forums and social networking sites. The breakthrough came when one private Russian website came across his blog and decided to help him. I don’t know why the editor decided to help, I suspect either for a laugh or because his imagination ran wild when he saw the photos.

After seeing footage of Michael Jackson’s rehearsals I’ve come to the conclusion that if he didn’t die last month and the concerts did go ahead, I would regret not even trying to buy the tickets. In retrospect it is a good thing I didn’t, otherwise I’d have wasted a lot of money. But if, that two letter word being very important, if he lived and did the concerts I’d be seriously annoyed with myself. I can picture vaguely what the real thing would have been like. Although I have to admit that some of the movements look a bit laboured and not as sharp as I’d expect them from Michael.
